14th Annual Cascade Zydeco Dance Camp
September 12 - 14, 2008
Enjoy a whole weekend of Brian Jack and the Zydeco Gamblers and professional dance instruction
by Michael Seider and Flory Katz in the beautiful Mt Hood National Forest, only 55 miles east of
Portland. This year's camp is being held at the Mt Hood Kiwanis Camp, a beautiful facility with
comfortable lodges adjacent to the dining/dance hall, bathrooms in every lodge, hiking trails, ample parking, and NO clean up chores at the end of camp!

The Cascade Zydeco Society has just announced a partial line-up for the 2008 Portland Waterfront Blues Festival held July 3-6. The Zydeco Romp in the Swamp will be held Saturday July 5th. A stellar line-up of Chris Ardoin & Nu Step, Dikki Du & the Zydeco Crew, Cedryl Ballou & the Zydeco Trendsetters, and Rosie Lediet & Zydeco Playboys will headline. Watch for more announcements for the Sunday July 6th afternoon show.

Starting this Tuesday, 1/15/08 we have ZYDECO IN VANCOUVER;
Where: 15th Street Pub, 15th & Main, W of I-5
When: 6-7:00 Happy Hour (to support the pub), 7-9 CD dancing
What: Beginning lesson if we recruit new people; dancing & fun no matter what.
Cost: None. 15th Street Pub is offering us the dance floor (& it's a great one) free for a 4 week trial that can continue if we support this.
So come to Taco Tuesday-2 tacos + 1 Pabst for $2 (until 7). Larger menu as well. What a deal.
